Programs

At Caterpillar Bilingual Childcare Center we offer educational programs for the following ages

Infant (3 months - 15 months)

Our infant program is designed to provide each child with a safe and enriching environment, an environment that stimulates learning.

Teachers actively monitor each child’s development and provide parents with daily communication about their child’s self-care routine.

Toddler (15 months - 2 years 9 months)

Our Toddler program is designed to provide each child with a safe and nurturing environment that will stimulate learning.

Teachers actively chart the development of each child and provide parents with daily communication regarding their child’s personal care routine.

During this first stage, knowledge is acquired through sensory experiences and motor explorations.

One of the main characteristics of this stage is the permanence of the object; that is, the understanding that objects continue to exist even when they cannot be seen.

Likewise, they are able to begin to relate names and words with their respective objects.

Preschool (2 years 9 months - 5 years)

Our Preschool and Pre-K curriculum introduces several learning concepts such as literacy, math, and critical thinking skills. Vocabulary development is very important at this stage too, as children will begin to learn the art of writing.

The classrooms are organized into sections such as reading, science, math, and writing. Furthermore, children are exposed to a print-rich environment, which allows students to associate written language with oral language.

Parents are fully aware of their child’s academic progress through quarterly assessment tools and parent-teacher conferences.

At this stage, children learn through imitation play, however, they have egocentric thinking and difficulties understanding other people’s point of view.
